Aardvark is also actively involved in the detection, clearance and removal of mines and unexploded weapons at sea and underwater from ships, ports, and harbours.
During the summer months of 1996, 1997 and 1998, Aardvark provided a Project Director and 12 EOD divers for removal of an offshore ammunition dump for marina construction in Beirut.
During this period a total of over 2000 items of ordnance were located and identified, before being lifted and disposed of.
